<p>A method of manufacturing optical recording media, which requires techniques for manufacturing an optical recording medium having excellent optical properties and rarely producing defective products during manufacturing operation and which is used to mold an optical recording medium by hardening a photosetting resin between a resin plate (11) and a casting mold. The method comprises the heating step (104) for melting the resin plate (11) by heating a thermoplastic resin (10) to a predetermined temperature, the transfer step (103, 105) for transferring the molten thermoplastic resin (10) to the interior of a mold (1), and the molding step (101, 102) for molding the transferred thermoplastic resin (10) to have the shape of the resin plate (11) by compressing the resin (10). This method can prevent the deterioration due to oxidation and strain of the molded optical recording medium because of a low-pressure low-temperature environment of the mold.</p> |
