A light weight C-arm with multiple adjustment supports X-ray monitors (110,111) and an X-ray source (40) is supported on a mounting. The mounting is carried on a trolley and its position is adjustable. The centroid of the arrangement of C-arm, X-ray source and monitors lies in the mounting. All possible axes of rotation intersect with the centroid (100).
