A copper ring (45) having hooks (43) and fabricated by forming a copper plate is brazed to a carbon member (46), with a brazing filler material having a melting point higher than the temperature at which a coil is connected to a conductive member (52), for example, a brazing filler material containing nickel and chromium. The insides of the copper ring (45) and the carbon member (46) are filled with a resin to mold a resin base (48). Radial slits (50) are formed in the copper ring (45) and the carbon member (46) to form mutually insulated generally sectorial segments (51) and the conductive member (52). Then a coil is connected to the hooks (43) of the conductive member (52) by soldering or welding.
