The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing an exhibit (33) on display in a closed space from being discolored and marred by the undesirable influence, comprising a closed box-shaped showcase for receiving and displaying the exhibit (33), whose inner space is divided into a front space and a rear space by a partition member (42) having a plurality of circulation paths through which inner gas circulates between said front space (35) and said rear space (44); a lighting means (36) arranged at upper side of said showcase for illuminating said front space of said showcase; a means (43) for adjusting relative humidity contained within inner gas in said showcase; and a cooling means for cooling the heat of said showcase, ensures that the exhibit (33) on display is permanently and safely preserved in its optimum state.
