PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary press not applying large load to a printing cylinder even in a case generating many printing protruding parts along a specific direction and enabling printing of high quality reducing a defect such as wrinkles, cracks or printing irregularity. SOLUTION: In a rotary press 1, a printing plate sheet 80 having a printing image mainly composed of printing protruding parts in X- and Y-directions obliquely formed thereto is mounted on the outer periphery of a printing cylinder 72 rotated around its center line. By this constitution, the printing protruding parts in the X-direction of the printing plate sheet 80 cross the bus bar (s) of the printing cylinder 72 at an acute inclined angleθ. The printing protruding parts in the X- and Y-directions of the printing plate sheet 80 are gradually pressed to a sheet W from one side thereof to the other side thereof according to the rotation of the printing cylinder 72 to advance printing.
