PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with which a lighter weight may be attained and excellent strength may be assured and which allows recycling and less cools the waist and a process for producing this chair. SOLUTION: A glass fiber-contg. thermoplastic resin is injected and filled into a metal mold 10 loaded with a skin surface material 63 and thereafter, a cavity 10A is expanded to expand the resin and to from continuous open gaps in the inside and to integrate the skin surface material 63. The lowering of the temp. of the chair body is suppressed by these gaps and, therefore, the cooling of the waist is substantially prevented and the lighter weight is embodied. In addition, the injection of gas through the gaps is made possible and, therefore the improvement in the appearance by pressure holding and the higher efficiency of the cooling may be achieved. Further, high rigidity and excellent impact strength may be assured by the glass fibers and since the thermoplastic resin is used as a matrix, the recycling, etc., are made possible. |
