PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cosmetic, capable of activating functions of skin without damaging the skin, assisting the regeneration of the skin and manifesting excellent effects even on reduction in fine wrinkles, dermal stains and skin roughening by formulating an extract liquid or a pressed liquid from a fruit of an Ume (a Japanese apricot) of the family Rosaceae therewith. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by formulating (A) a cosmetic base for skin, hair or a bathing agent with (B) an extract liquid or a pressed liquid of (B0 ) a fruit of an Ume a Japanese apricot (Prunus mume SIEB. et. Zucc.)} of the family Rosaceae in an amount of, e.g. 0.1-25 wt.%, expressed in terms of the solid content and based on the ingredient A. The ingredient B is obtained by directly pressing, e.g. the ingredient B0 or shredding the ingredient B0 and extracting the shredded ingredient B0 with water or an organic solvent such as 1,3-butylene glycol or ethanol alone or a mixture thereof at normal temperatures or under heating. |
