PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Rh composite oxide catalyst improved in high- temperature stability to have an excellent cleaning property for providing a heat-resisting property with increase of exhaust gas temperature particularly in the Rh composite oxide catalyst. SOLUTION: The composite oxide consists of a component represented by the formula, A1- XBXRhO3 (where A is trivalent metallic elements, B is divalent metallic elements, and 0.1<=X). In the composite oxide catalyst, A, the trivalent metallic elements, are one kind or one or more kinds selected from the group of La, Ce, and Nd and B, the divalent metallic elements, are one kind or two or more kinds selected from the group of Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba. |
