PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the control quality by enhancing the detecting responsiveness of a pedaling force, in a brake device in which the control accuracy and control responsiveness are enhanced with a simple structure and by an inexpensive means. SOLUTION: A brake device is constituted in such a way that a master cylinder 1 and a wheel cylinder 2 are connected by a brake circuit 3, a gear pump 6 for supplying hydraulic gluid at least to the wheel cylinder 2 is provided on the way of the brake circuit 3, a bypass circuit 7 in parallel wih the gear pump 6 is connected to the brake circuit 3. a variable orifice 8 is provided to the bypass circuit 7, and a sensor 20 for a pedaling force as a detecting means of driver's brake operation is provided. In this case, the brake circuit 3 is provided with a dummy cylinder 10 whose hydraulic rigidity is equivalent to the wheel cylinder 2. |
