PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a wheel base from becoming longer and a saddle position from becoming unreasonable, reduce the number of parts, and also avoid a chargeable battery from being damaged due to overturning. SOLUTION: In an electric bicycle where a part of a power for travelling is assisted by a motor 9 when it is moved by the operation of a rider, a battery storing space 11 is provided in a top tube 10, a cover body 13 to open and close the battery storing space is provided at the rear end of the top tube. Thus the cover body 13 can be opened and closed with a seat pillar 17 removed from a seat tube 12.
