<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a sheet carrying device by simplifying the support of a retard roller and the structure of a drive transmission at the time when the retard roller for a sheet handler is driven in association with a carrying roller for the sheet carrying device. SOLUTION: The shaft 27 of a carrying roller 26 is supported by the mainbody frame of a device and a retard roller 24 is provided via a link member oscillatably supported by the shaft 27 to transmit the rotation of the shaft 27 via a drive transmission 33 to the retard roller. The drive transmission is arranged for drive and transmission via a torque limiter 36 provided on the shaft 27 to a retard gear 39, a driving system, not affected by the oscillation of the link member, is provided and the supporting member of the retard roller formed in compact shape is arranged in an extra space inside the device.</p> |
