PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method of a saponified material of an ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer being excellent in the property of external appearance, forming stability, etc. SOLUTION: A saponified material of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer of which the moisture content is adjusted to be 10-50 wt.% and of which the ethylene content is 10-60 mol.% and the saponification degree 90 mol.% or above is melted and extruded by an extruder. When the length of a screw of the extruder is denoted by L (mm) and the diameter thereof by D (mm), in this case, specific energy (E) for an L/D unit at the time of extrusion is made 1-20 W.hr/kg.
