<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and rapidly open an impact protection gas reservoir, by melting a disc to be burst on a contact point of an electrode, progressing the melting in a gap formed between the electrode and the disc to be burst, and finally inducing the arc under the pressure of the gas reservoir. SOLUTION: A transformer 2 is connected with a vehicle network through an input 3. The vehicle network comprises the battery voltage or the electric voltage which is boosted by the transformer 2. By this voltage, a capacitor 4 is charged. The energy of the capacitor 4 is guided to a disc to be burst 6 through a transistor 5. The condenser 4 as an energy reservoir, supplies the energy necessary for the operation of an impact protection system in the rupture of a battery cable (in an accident). The transistor 5 is triggered through a pulse line 7 which receives an operation pulse from an acceleration sensor. The function of the operational electronic system is tested by a test circuit 8, and the defect is displayed through a defect signal output 9.</p> |
