<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mounting strength of a fuel tank, facilitate the mounting and improve mounting accuracy. SOLUTION: In this type of mounting structure, a support bracket 5 which is L-shaped from the side view is arranged on each side of a lower side of a vehicular body in longitudinal and bilateral directions. A flange 6 of a fuel tank 4 is fastened to the support bracket 5 by means of bolts, at its front and rear positions. In such a case, the support bracket 5 has U-shaped section opened downward. A cutout 9 is formed on the flange 6 of the fuel tank 4. A welding nut 10 is fixed to an upper surface of the flange 6. The flange 6 of the fuel tank 4 is mounted on a lower end stopping portion 12 of the support bracket 5 which has a mounting hole 13. The cutout 9 is engaged with a columnar part 11 of the support bracket 5 for positioning. A fastening bolt 7 is screwed with the welding nut 10 through the mounting hole of the support bracket 5. The fuel tank 4 is thereby attached to the side of a vehicular body.</p> |
