PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a centering process by execution of correction of an X axis and a Y axis with a simple structure by a method wherein a holding arm is transferred to a spindle of a veneer lathe with a transfer means of a holding arm, and both cutting shaft cores are accorded to a core of the spindle. SOLUTION: A freely transferrable movable centering spindle 21 is freely rotatably supported with a bearing 23 fitted to a transfer mount 39, and is freely movably in a shaft core direction of the spindle 21 supported therewith. The spindle 21 is functioned in advance and retreat in the axial core direction of the spindle 21 with a cylinder 25 fitted to the transfer mount 39 in the same way. The transfer mount 39 is fitted to rails 41, 41 arranged down in a direction of the spindle 21, and reciprocated in the direction crossing at right angles to the axial core direction of the spindle 21 with a functioning mechanism composed of a transfer mount feed screw 43, a motor for the transfer mount 45, a transfer mount displacement detector 47, etc. |
