摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any system trouble such as a sudden wire disconnection or the like by measuring a form variation in the outer diameter of a tubular part in and around the vicinity of a flange part of a wire bobbin, detecting a form variation in a wire bobbin body, and compensating a winding form in linkage with a traverser unit. SOLUTION: At the time of starting the winding of a wire, the outer diameter of a tubular part in and around the flange of two wire bobbins 5 and 6 is measured and also any outer diametral variation of this tubular part is detected. As to a judgment of deformation in tubular vertical ends of these wire bobbins 5 and 6, a combination of both infrared ray emitting and receiving devices is available. A form judger 22 measures an outer diameter of the tubular part by an outer diameter variation signal R. Control after form judgment is carried out by a position controller 23 controlling a position of the traverser unit. Concretely, in the case where the tubular part itself has become thickened, an amount of travel of a traverser is reduced, and in the case where it has become slenderized the other way, the travel of the traverser is controlled for increment.
