PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the honing of the diametral surface of a work piece at high efficiency while maintaining high finishing accuracy. SOLUTION: The rotational motion generated by a spindle rotating part 3 and the reciprocating motion generated by a spindle reciprocating part 3 are given as the basic operations to a honing tool 1, and the inside diameter surface Wa of a work piece W is honed while superposingly adding the fine reciprocating vibration generated by a stroke vibration generating part 6, the fine rotational vibration generated by a rotational vibration generating part 7, or both of vibrations to the basic operations. Therefore, original precise finishing of honing by the basic operation is applied to the workpiece inside diameter surface Wa, and biting of a honing stick 16 of the honing tool 1 in relation to the workpiece inside diameter surface Wa is promoted by the fine vibration to be superposingly added. |
