PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a postscript type optical recording medium, by which favorable recording and reproduction can be possible with a laser having the wavelength of 400-500 nm. SOLUTION: In an optical recording medium having at least a recording layer and a reflecting layer on a board, the recording layer includes a porphyrin represented by the formula, in which R1 -R6 represent respectively and independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a 1-20C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkylthio group, an aryloxy group, an arylthio group, an alkinyl group, an aralkyl group, an acyl group or an aryl group. M represents two hydrogen atoms, a divalent metal or trivalent or tetravalent metal derivative. |
