PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the burning of a pushbutton without any alarm circuit by providing a covering material which consists of a transparent material and generates disagreeable odor when heated on a surface of the pushbutton arranged on at least one of a car and a landing. SOLUTION: When a passenger in a car mischievously brings a fire of a lighter for example, a seal material 5 is heated, the seal material 5 is melted to generate the disagreeable odor in the car. Stopping of an action of the mischievous passenger is promoted, and a manager of an elevator can check immediately whether or not the pushbutton 2 is burnt. If the pushbutton is not burnt, the seal material 5 is again attached to the pushbutton 2. Even when it is burnt, it can be repaired in a short time. The liquid stuff may be applied to the covering material. The covering material may be provided not only on the surface of the pushbutton in the car but also on the surface of the pushbutton at the landing. |
