<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use sensible heat of a combustion gas of a melting and burning apparatus as a heat source for a thermal decomposition drum, to suppress corrosion of the thermal decomposition drum, and to lower the treatment cost by heating a granular heating meedium by the combustion gas emitted out of the melting and burning apparatus and heating the waste in the thermal decomposition drum by the heat medium. SOLUTION: Waste W in a waste pit 1 is supplied to a thermal decomposition drum 4 by a screw feeder 3 and heated and dry distilled in the drum by the heat of a granular heating medium A. Consequently, the waste W is converted into thermal decomposition gas B and thermal decomposition residue C and the thermal decomposition gas B is sent to a melting and burning apparatus 10 and the thermal decomposition residue C and the granular heating medium A are sent to a sorting apparatus 8. Combustible fine particle C1 sorted by the sorting apparatus 8 is supplied to the melting and burning apparatus 10 and together with the thermal decomposition gas B, the fine particle C1 is melted and burned. On the other hand, the granular heating medium A is sent to a heat recovery apparatus 13 through a silo 12, heated while being brought into contact with counter flow of a combustion gas G emitted out of the melting and burning apparatus 10, and supplied to the upstream side of the thermal decomposition drum 4.</p> |
