PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for suppressing the fluctuation of flow rate in a raw material swelling system, wherein the apparatus suppresses the fluctuation of the flow rate of raw material discharged from an immersing container having a built-in screw conveyor and feeds the raw material to an air flow dryer. SOLUTION: This apparatus for suppressing the fluctuation of flow rate in a raw material-swelling system comprises a hopper 22 for receiving the cut pieces discharged from an immersing container 2, a variable-speed conveyer 26 for discharging the cut pieces from the hopper 22, a lower limit sensor 38, a higher limit sensor 40 and a speed checking sensor 42 which detect the retention level of the cut pieces in the hopper 22, and a controller 36 which controls the discharging speed of the variable-speed conveyor 26 based on the signals from these sensors so that the average feeding rate of the cut pieces to the hopper 22 and their discharging rate are balanced with each other. |
