PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To a process for producing a suture needle capable of easily producing the suture needle which is capable of improving the efficiency of production work and allows the smooth conduction of suture work. SOLUTION: A needle blank 7 is formed by cutting away the terminal of a straight needle material 7' which is formed with a needle tip 8 at its front end and is formed with flat parts 9, 10 in part inclusive of at least the terminal. The needle blank 7 is curved to a semi-arc shape of prescribed curvature over the entire length of the needle blank 7. A hole part 12 is formed at the terminal 11 of the needle blank 7. Suture yarn is inserted into the hole part 12 and the outer periphery of the hole part 12 is caulked and pressed from the direction facing the diametral direction and the direction intersecting therewith, by which a caulking part reduced in the diameter is formed. |
