<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and surely inspect the whole peripheral surface of an article by providing an inspecting part for inspecting an article with a rotating means for turning an article supplied to the inspecting part in an arbitrary direction. SOLUTION: Articles having a substantially spherical shape such as fruits A are supplied to an inspecting part by a manual means or a mechanical means, and the articles such as fruits A supplied to the inspecting part are reversed or horizontally turned by a support roller 17 as a rotating means to be changed to an arbitrary direction. At this time, the whole peripheral surface of the article such as fruits A is visually inspected by an operator' eyes, or the whole peripheral surface of the article such as fruits A is imaged by image pick-up cameras 30-33, and according to the image data of imaging, the whole peripheral surface of the article such as fruits A is inspected. Thus, the inspection work and sorting work can be performed precisely.</p> |
