PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a lightweight concrete block by producing from a cement compsn. into which a lightweight aggregate is mixed to give a specified specific gravity. SOLUTION: The cement compsn. is prepared to have <1 specific gravity. As for the lightweight aggregate, an inorg. aggregate such as hollow glass particles is preferably used. It is more preferable to use recycled glass foam body or pumiceous sand balloon. When the objective concrete block is produced from the cement compsn. to which the lightweight aggregate comprising recycled glass foam body of particles of 0.3 to 5 mm diameters and pumiceous sand balloon of particles of 0.03 to 0.5 mm diameters are mixed, the packing rate of the aggregate increases and both of the mold releasing rate and the strength can be increased. If the concrete block is produced by vibration press-forming, the block can be instantly released from the die after formed, and increases the productivity. By using a compsn. prepared by mixing 30 to 60 vol.% recycled glass foam body of particles of 0.3 to 5 mm diameters and 15 to 40 vol.% pumiceous sand balloon of particles of 0.03 to 0.5 mm diameters with cement paste having 35 to 50% water/cement rate, the packing of the aggregate is more efficient. |
