PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control safely effectively fungi in staying water of a downstream side pipe line of a purification facility by a method wherein in an in-line type water purification facility to which a function for removing chlorine is provided, which is installed by cutting in a midway of the pipe line, a silver adding device for adding a specific amount of silver is annexed to a downstream side pipe line of the water purification facility. SOLUTION: Tap water 10 containing a hazardous substance such as chlorine or the like firstly passes through a water purification device 1 to decompose and remove a chemical substance, such as chlorine or the like in water with action of active carbon or the like. When the tap water 10 purified with the purification device 1 is divided into two directions of a system of being introduced to a siliver elution system to a downstream side of the water purification facility 1 and a system of flowing to a cock as it is. In the silver elution system, a flow rate of purified water flowing in a cock direction which is measured with a flow rate meter 8 is obtained by a control unit 9, a discharge amount is indicated to a constant discharge pump 7 by determining an addition amount of silver solution 14 stored in a silver elution tank 4, and silver is added by a concentration of 10μg/l or over into 1l, of the purification water. Thereby, control of fungi in the staying water of downstream side pipe line of the water purification facility is achieved.
