PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size apparatus capable of high-speed image formation by a multi-color image formation method utilizing microcapsules. SOLUTION: Four kinds of microcapsules 5 to have the color change into yellow, magenta, cyan and black are applied to a film supporting member 11 while being distributed spatially. The four kinds of micro capsules 5 contain substances to absorb light beams with different wavelengths to generate heat. With an ink sheet for transfer 10 and an image receiving medium 30 with a coloring agent layer 35 formed on the surface of a paper 31 superimposed, signal light beams with different wavelengths generated from lasers 51Y, 51M, 51C, 51K according to the image signal of each color are multiplied by a half mirror 52 to irradiate the microcapsules 5 via the film supporting member 11. Since the ink sheet for transfer 10 is pressed by the image receiving medium 30, the microcapsules softened thereby are destroyed so as to discharge the coloring matter precursors so that the coloring matter precursors permeate the coloring agent layer 35 for forming a full color image on the image receiving medium 30. |
