PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorg. fibered molded body uniformly hardened up to the interior and having strong thermal shock resistance and to provide the production method. SOLUTION: The inorg. fibered molded body consists of the combination of inorg. fibers, colloidal silica, a polymer flocuulant at need and refractory powder at need. The entire surfaces of the inorg. fibers are coated with the colloidal silica. The inorg. fibered molded body is produced by mixing the inorg. fibers, the colloidal silica, the polymer flocculant at need and the refractory powder at need with water to make slurry, molding and drying the resultant slurry. After the inorg. fibers are charged in the water, colloidal silica having positive surface charges is charged in the water and then colloidal silica having negative surface changes is charged. |
