PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a packaged rice ball by which a mutually overlapped part of left and right corner parts on the one end side of the packaged rice ball can well be cut with a cutting tape. SOLUTION: Cooked rice for a rice ball formed into a triangular shape having a prescribed thickness is placed on a back sheet so as to locate one of apices of the triangle on the central part a little to one short side of a package 30 and the other end side of the package 30 is then folded back in the direction of the other end side so as to locate on the top surface of the cooked rice for the rice ball. Left and right corner parts 38a and 38b on the one end side of the package 30 are folded back so as to mutually and partially overlap the left and right corner parts 38a and 38b on the folded back front sheet 32 on the other end side. The left and right corner parts 38a and 38b on the folded back one end side are respectively heat-sealed on the front sheet 32 on the side left and right of a part where the cutting tape 36 is present by avoiding the overlapped parts of the left and right corner parts 38a and 38b. |
