<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet matching device which is excellent in durability and which can improve aligning accuracy. SOLUTION: Sheets to be stapled are discharged on a stapling tray. The sheets are dropped by gravity and the rear ends of the sheets strike the rear end fence for the sheets to be aligned longitudinally. In order to improve the reliability of longitudinal alignment, a return roller 5 is provided to strike the upper face of the sheets to drop down the sheets forcedly. The return roller 5 is connected to a return motor 30 for oscillating the sheets in the direction in which the sheets are separated from or brought close to each other, through a torsion coil spring 117, and is driven by the motor. The number of revolutions of the motor 30 is decreased with increasing the loaded height of the sheets to constantly keep the pressurizing force of the return roller 5 constant. The rotating speed of the motor 30 is accelerated with decreasing the loaded height of the sheets to maintain the processing efficiency.</p> |
