摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To casing locate a radioactive source in a body lumen by enabling insertion of the radioactive source into a hollow guide wire with a solid core at a distal end thereof in an apparatus which treats a coronary artery or other body lumens by a radiation to reduce the tendency in developing restenosis. SOLUTION: A radioactive source wire 50 is arranged at an opening formed at a proximal end 27 of a tubular guide wire 25 with a radioactive source tube hole 26 formed therein to let the opening slidably receive it and a flexible tip 31 made effective for guiding through a meandering blood vessel is provided at a solid core part 30 provided at a distal end 29 thereof. The guide wire 25 is provided with a screw clamp 33 at the proximal end 27 to connect the guide wire 25 to an after loader. The radioactive source wire 50 is inserted into the guide wire 25 after the dilatation of a constricted part of a blood vessel with a dilatation catheter. At this point, the solid core part 30 is located by monitoring the position of a marker attached to the wire guide 25.
