PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical recording medium, with which a postscript type recording and reproduction of a high density information becomes highly stably possible, and its optical record reproducing method. SOLUTION: This medium is an optical recording medium, in the recording layer 2 of which a magnesium tetraphenyl porphyrin compound represented by the formula is employed, and this reproducing method is an optical record reproducing method, in which the above optical recording medium is employed. In the formula, X1 -X4 represent a chlorine, (k), (l), (m) and (n) represent the number of chlorines bonding to an aromatic ring bonded at its meso position and an integer of 1 through 5. |
