PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the formation and elimination of an image, to reduce damage by the repeated use of color development and color extinction, and to improve durability by incorporating a curing reaction product of a polyol resin having a specified OH value and an polyisocyanate compound into a reversible thermal recording layer. SOLUTION: A curing reaction product of a polyol resin of 80-500 mg KOH/g OH value and a polyisocyanate compound together with a leuco dye and a reversible developer is used as a binder resin in a reversible thermal recording layer. The chief role of the binder resin in a reversible thermosensible layer is to prevent the aggregation of a reversible thermal coloring composition by the repetition of color development and color extinction. The addition of the curing reaction product not only into the reversible thermosensible layer but also into an anchor layer and a protective layer is very effective. In this way, a material can be obtained which is scarcely broken by heat by repeated color development and color extinction without damaging the color development and color extinction of the reversible thermosensible layer and has good durability. |
