PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material with an image section of superior coloring sensitivity and storage properties, particularly of superior plasticizer resistance and oil resistance. SOLUTION: In a heat-sensitive recording material provided with a heat- sensitive coloring layer composed of a leuco dye and a developer for coloring the leuco dye at the time of heating as main components and formed on a substrate, at least one kind of compounds A provided with aromatic rings containing an electron attracting functional group and carboxyl as substituents is used as a developer. The compound A contains nitro as the electron attracting functional group, and a structure having two or more aromatic rings containing the electron attracting functional group and the carboxyl as substituents in one molecule is constituted by ester linkage in the compound. |
