PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly heat an adsorption decomposition deodorizing element and to decrease the generation of malodor at the time of the regeneration by heating by forming the adsorption decomposition deodorizing element from a heating element, which is formed by incorporating an electric heating element between laminated mica plates and a deodorizing element provided on the outer peripheral surface part of the heating element. SOLUTION: An adsorption decomposition deodorizing element for adsorbing and removing a malodor or a harmful gas (called as an odor component hereafter) at a normal temp. is constituted of a heating element formed by incorporating an electric heating element between laminated mica plates and a deodorizing element provided on the outer peripheral surface part of the heating element. Mica strong in bending strength, excellent in heat resistance, keeping high strength and insulation resistance even in a high temp. atmosphere and free from the generation of fuming or nasty smell is used as the mica. As the electric heating element, one formed by uniformly folding a metal wire provided with energizing terminals at both ends of the electric heating element is used. Moreover, the deodorizing element is constituted of an adsorbent for adsorbing the odor component at normal temp. and a catalyst for oxidation- decomposing the adsorbed odor component and the odor component desorbed from the adsorbent by heating. |
