PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for promoting sterilization, deodorization or the like and oxidation decomposition by utilizing convection caused by heat generation of a discharge tube and circulating treatment gas. SOLUTION: When an ultraviolet-ray tube 4 is lighted, ozone is generated by plasma discharge between the ultraviolet-ray tube 4 and a squirrel-cage type electrode 3 and heat is generated by discharge. Gas such as odor introduced into the inside of an external casing 1 is mixed with ozone heated and generated in the squirrel-cage type electrode 3 and the mixture is raised. The mixture is oxidatively decomposed by a photocatalyst on the side wall of a photocatalyst cylinder 2 and discharged from a discharge port 6. Simultaneously, cool air of the outside is sucked from the lower part 7 of the external casing 1 and circulation purification is performed by convection phenomena. |
