<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an odor removing filter having the controlled dimer of a metallophthalocyanine by, after removing dissolved oxygen in an alkaline aqueous solution where a polycarboxylic acid metallophthalocyanine is dissolved, and dipping a filter carrier into the above solution to make a polycarboxylic acid metallophthalocyanine adhere to it, washing it in water and drying it. SOLUTION: In the case where an odor removing filter is manufactured using non-woven fabric having permeability, an alkaline aqueous solution having dissolved potassium hydroxide is bubbled with nitrogen gas to deaerate a dissolved oxygen, and next octacarboxyphthalocyanine iron is dissolved in the alkaline aqueous solution to turn the phthalocyanine iron into alkali salt for preparing the aqueous solution. After the non-woven fabric having permeability is dipped in the alkaline aqueous solution, the fabric is pulled up and dipped in a diluted hydrochloric acid for its neutralization. The fabric is then sufficiently washes in water and dried to obtain the odor removing filter having the octacarboxyphthalocyanine iron carried by the non-woven fabric. Excepting the non-woven fabric, a paper honeycomb or the like is used as a filter.</p> |
