PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mold cooked rice for a rice ball with a pair of rotation type pressing rotors. SOLUTION: This apparatus for molding a food is obtained by pivoting parallel driving shafts 3 and 3 on free ends of a pair of shaking levers 4 and 4 supported on supporting shafts, controlling the movement of both the shaking levers 4 and 4 with a cam 6, coupling a rotation driving device for driving and rotating the rotors 2 and 2 to the parallel driving shafts 3 and 3 and forcibly symmetrically making both the rotors 2 and 2 mutually approach and separate with the cam 6, in the apparatus for molding the food composed by symmetrically installing the pair of the rotors 2 and 2 in a uniform phase in the parallel driving shafts 3 and 3 so as to separate the parallel driving shafts 3 and 3 at the maximum when mutual ridge line parts 22 and 22 of the rotors 2 and 2 on the peripheral surfaces are opposite by mutual rotation in the opposite directions and make the parallel driving shafts 3 and 3 mutually approach to the maximum when the surfaces of the ridge line parts 22 of the respective rotors 2 are mutually opposite, and capable of molding the food charged between the rotors 2 and 2 corresponding to mold cavities 21, recessed and installed on the surfaces between the ridge line parts 22 and 22. |
