PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair tonic which is utilized in fields of medicines, quasi- drugs and cosmetics and has excellent hair-restoring effect such as depiratory prevention and hair-growing effect by formulating an extract from plants of the family Menispermaceae and the family Nymphaeaceae. SOLUTION: This hair tonic is obtained by formulating at least one kind or more selected from extracts from plants of the family Menispermaceae, the genus Menispermum (e.g. Menispermum daurium DC.) or the genus Cocculus (e.g. Cocculus laurifolius DC., Cocculus trilobus DC., etc.), plants of the family Nymphaeaceae, the genus Nelumbo (e.g. Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.), plants of the family Malvaceae, the genus Abelmoschus (e.g. Ahelmoschus crinitus, Ahelmoschus manihot, etc.), plants of the family Gnetaceae, the genus Gnetum (e.g. Gnetum montanum and the like) and plants of the family Lauraceae, the genus machilus (e.g. Machilus bracteate and the like) preferably in an amount of 0.005-10 wt.% based on the whole weight of the composition. This hair tonic can be prepared in dosage forms of liquid, emulsion and ointment. |
