The invention relates to a covering device for the temporary covering of a recess in endogenic bone tissue filled with an osteogenic material. The covering device comprises a covering membrane disposed adjacent the recess and the endogenic bone tissue and a stiffening layer connected to the covering membrane. The covering membrane consists of resorbable membrane material which is more rapidly resorbable from the side remote from the endogenic bone tissue than from the side facing the endogenic bone tissue.
