Process for aluminum fluoride production

A process is disclosed for drying hydrated aluminum fluoride, produced from the reaction of hydrated alumina with hydrofluosilicic acid, utilizing a turbo-tray drying system so as to reduce the production of particle fines and recycle thermal energy from upstream operations, resulting in an improved and more economical anhydrous aluminum fluoride product.
