FIELD: processing of municipal wastes: household rubbish and industrial wastes (slags of metallurgical enterprises, slimes and cakes of chemical and electroplating production, sands, sludges of treatment installations containing ferrous and nonferrous metals and wastes of wood-working and tie-impregnation production). SUBSTANCE: method includes loading of wastes together with fluxing additives to bubbling bath of molten slag; melting of wastes in melting furnace; final combustion of liberated combustible components; dedusting and utilization of effluent gas heat. Wastes are loaded into slag bath of melting furnace with immersed electrodes with specific power supplied to bath amounting up to 400-1500 kW/sq.m, blasting intensity of 0.3-0.5 ncu.m/t.min and melt temperature of 1450-1600 C.
