PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form liquid crystal elements having excellent color display characteristics with simple stages at a good yield by patterning a conductive layer formed on a substrate via photosensitive resin layers patterned thereon, then coloring these photosensitive resin layers, thereby forming color filters. SOLUTION: At the time of producing the liquid elements of an active matrix type constituted by packing liquid crystals 19 between the glass substrate 1 provided with pixel electrodes 14 and a counter substrate 16, the conductive layer (ITO layer) is first formed on the substrate 1 on the side to be provided with the pixel electrodes 14. Next, the patterned photosensitive resin layers having ink receptability are formed of a mixture composed of an acryl amide resin and acrylate resin on the conductive layer and the conductive layer is patterned by using the photosensitive resin layers as a resist, by which the pixel electrodes 14 are formed. Colored inks of red, green and blue are applied by an ink jet system on such photosensitive resin layers after the end of the patterning, by which the color filters 13 are formed. |
