PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a train by stopping it automatically at the time of failure of a controlled transmission device, and fault-tolerance of a train by letting the train coast when any one of brake gears fails. SOLUTION: This device has a series transmission line 5 which transmits a drive control command by serial transmission to brake gears 3A, 3B which let the train coast as a braking function and to main circuit control devices 4A, 4B, a brake command line 6 which transmits a minimum brake command, and a power command line 7 which transmits a power command. In this case, when the drive control command by the serial transmission is not transmittable, a train is automatically stopped by providing a means 18 for transmitting a brake command to the brake command line 6 to transmit the brake command to the brake gears via the brake command line 6. Here, a means 10 for releasing the brake command is provided. After the stop of the train, it is switched over to a means 8 for transmitting a limited function drive command to restore its traveling capability. |
