PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display video information expressed in three primary colors in two colors without impairing its graphical characteristics. SOLUTION: This device is constituted so that two color-red and green-light emitting diodes 101 , 102 are arranged for each pixel on the display screen and the emission luminance of each light emitting diode is controlled independently from each other to display images. In this case, a display color calculating section 4 stores the calculation data which is obtained by setting the output values of two colors determined from the respective luminance components of plural specific color groups determined by single or plural combinations of the luminance components of the color constituting three primary colors by using the respective luminance components of three primary colors as addresses and reads two-color output values which corresponds to the luminance of input signals of three primary colors as addresses based on the original images. The data distributing section 5 of the section 4 distributes two-color output values between two-red and green-color light emitting diodes 101 , 102 of the pixels corresponding to the pixels of the original images on the display screen. |
