SOLUTION: A standard speech synthesis dictionary 18a in which speech synthesis data of a standard pronunciation of each character data are written and a regional speech synthesis dictionary 18b in which speech synthesis data of a special pronunciation made to correspond to a regional use about a specific place name character differently pronounced in each regional use, are prepared. And, when a region of a use is set, the configuration is made so that the regional speech synthesis dictionary 18b is used with a priority rather than the standard speech synthesis dictionary 18a. Therefore, when character data are registered, which are received by retrieving the regional voice synthesis dictionary 18b corresponding to the set region of the use, the character data are read out, which are received by allocating the speech synthesis data of a specific pronunciation in accordance with the region of the use, therefore, even a special character is correctly read out according to the regional use. |
