PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the address, the name of facility, or the like, at a place matching a cursor without requiring a troublesome operation, e.g. depressing a goal determining button, when scrolling a map by displaying the name on a map corresponding to the cursor on a display means upon elapsing a predetermined time after stopping the scrolling of map. SOLUTION: The map in the vicinity of place where a host vehicle and the mark thereof exist (S1). In order to display a goal on a display, a joy stick is turned to the scrolling direction thus scrolling the map on the display (S2). If a goal is displayed on the display in the way of scroll, an operator release the joy stick to stop scrolling. Upon elapsing a predetermined time after stopping scroll (S3), the name at a position on the map matching the cursor is displayed at the position on the map displayed on the display (S4). The name to be displayed includes address, place name, facility name, river name, road name, or the like, and the name is erased upon elapsing a predetermined time. |
