PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a vehicle plainly even when the branch is intricate or many link roads are present in an intersection by determining the guide information at a guide intersection, based on the link data between a road intruding into the guide intersection and road information. SOLUTION: Nodes 1-5, j-n represent roads having a link attribute in the intersection and roads a-i represents one-way roads separating up and down roads. When a roue from road (h) to road (d) is calculated, the roads (i), (b) are branch roads from the road (h) but the roads (n), (j) are links in intersection and since they are kept as links in intersection at the node 1, they are fed forward to next road. Similarly, roads (k), (1) are fed forward. Consequently, following roads (d) (e) become the branch roads from the intersection. According to the method, route guidance at a guide intersection can be performed as the guidance of 'obitque right direction' based on the angle between the roads (h), (d). |
