PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply components smoothly even when high speed movement and sudden stop are repeated. SOLUTION: A component supply device 2, where a reel 110 around which a tape containing components is wound is supported, the component is supplied from the reel 110, and the components are sequentially carried and supplied at a prescribed position sequentially, is provided with a box 4 that contains the reel 110. The box 4 is configured such that 1st and 2nd main side plates 6, 8 whose width is slightly larger than a diameter of the reel 110 are placed nearly in parallel at an interval slightly wider than the thickness of the reel 110 opposite to each other, the two major side plates are respectively connected at both side ends with 1st and 2nd end side plates 10, 12 respectively, and the two major side plates are connected at a lower end by a bottom plate 14. One inner face of the 1st and 2nd major side plates 6, 8 is provided with a reverse prevention plate 24 that energizes the reel 110 in a direction of the one major side plate and prevents reversing of the reel 110. |
