PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decide a still picture or an animation of video signals by synthesizing and transmitting the identification signals indicating a still picture, synthesizing the identification signals indicating the motion information with the compressed coding data to transmit them and detecting the identification signals via a decoder for the synthesis data which are transmitted via a transmission line. SOLUTION: When a read control circuit 38 decides an animation image based on the data on the motion information received from an identification signal detection circuit 32, the circuit 38 reads the odd-field image data out of a field memory 36 and also reads the even-field image data out of a one-line memory 37. Then the circuit 38 interpolates the line data to output and display them. In regard to a still picture or an image approximate to the still picture, the odd-field image data are read out of the memory 36 and the even-field image data are stored and then read out of the memory 37. Then the odd and even field line data are sequentially and alternately outputted and displayed at a speed double as high as an interlace display speed. |
