PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eyelet by which a terminal pin is mounted to a printed circuit board in a state that the terminal pin is surely connected electrically to and strongly coupled mechanically with the printed circuit board. SOLUTION: An eyelet 20 is made up of a cylindrical section 2002 and a guard 2004. The inner diameter of the cylindrical section is larger than the outside diameter of a terminal pin 8, and the outside diameter is smaller than the inside diameter of a hole 10 so as to be inserted to a printed circuit board 2. The guard 2004 is formed with a semi-arcuate face, whose radius is nearly a half of the outer diameter of the cylindrical section 2002, and the inner circumferential ridge and the outer circumferential ridge of the guard 2004 are placed nearly at the same position, with respect to the lengthwise direction of the cylindrical section 2002. The guard 2004 A has a long grooved opening 2006 that extends in the vicinity of the inner circumferential ridge up to the outer circumferential ridge, so that molten solder can penetrate into a space between the guard 2004 and a copper foil pattern 6. |
